Insurer launches plan for cancer survivors
Cancer survivors can rejoice knowing that getting life protection for themselves is now possible with the launch of Hong Leong Assurance (HLA) Beyond Cancer Plan, deemed to be the first and only life insurance for cancer survivors in Malaysia.
Despite being the second highest cause of death in Malaysia, what is comforting is the high survival rate among the five most common cancers in the country.
However, surviving cancer is more than a one-time medical issue.
Survivors may be diagnosed with other critical illnesses during remission.
To protect themselves from any other critical illnesses during remission, they will need an insurance plan.
Unfortunately, signing up for a new insurance plan can be a daunting experience for cancer survivors.
The HLA Beyond Cancer Plan makes it easy for cancer survivors by offering them additional coverage against 10 major critical illnesses (CI), including stroke, heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery and kidney failure.
In addition, the plan provides life protection up to age 100, while allowing survivors to secure their family’s financial future in their absence.
What is more, policyholders can enjoy an additional 50% of sum assured after five years to increase their CI coverage and legacy protection without further medical underwriting.
This added benefit provides them with better security to safeguard their future.
